How Jewelry Impacts Women Emotionally Personally and Professionally

Women are no longer waiting for men to buy them jewelry.

Jewelry commercials are very romantic, sentimental and touching. For example — The Tiffany and Lady Gaga 2017 Superbowl commercial introduced us Lady Gaga’s sensitive side, as she played a harmonica and opened her heart to the world about her teenage life in New York City.

Does jewelry impact you in some way — emotionally, personally or professionally? It definitely influenced me ever since I received that very special girl friend ring from my first boyfriend. It was young love, and we were so close, even when we’re apart. We were like an amulet that was separated at birth. I cherished every piece of jewelry he gave me, especially my engagement ring. But after we broke up, I sold my ring, and every scrap of jewelry he gave me! That was the only way I can release the emotional burden he left behind, and for me to successfully start the next stage of my life.

I love to buy myself jewelry and no longer wait for a man to buy them. After I got my first job, I was so elated, and bought myself jewelry — matching ruby diamond earrings, necklace, bracelet and ring set!

During the holidays after I receive my company bonus, I look forward pampering myself with a shopping spree and top it off by gifting myself a piece of jewelry, such as a diamond bracelet, necklace, charms or watch. It’s something I do to praise and reward myself with. I love precious diamonds and gems mixed with diamonds, because diamonds symbolize durability and longevity. When I think of diamonds, I envision qualities such as clarity, durability and longevity.

Many women today buy jewelry for themselves, because it’s very rewarding in an “intrinsic” kind of way, and brings in a certain energy or emotion. The type of women who buy jewelry for themselves are usually those who have business confidence, financial independence and self esteem. They want to make a personal, professional and even a sentimental statement. Jewelry reflects who a woman is and how she is able to achieve her goals in her life, love and career.

Buying jewelry for themselves is exciting, as women can upgrade to a higher carat weight in diamonds, or from silver to gold, or to platinum. It’s a way of how some women measure their desires, financial and personal achievements. Jewelry is full of meaning, and doesn’t really matter how big or small it is. It’s full of emotional and sentimental reason. For example, I still cherish the 14 karat heart shaped gold ring with diamonds around it that I purchased myself with my own hard earned money when I was 18 years old. I look at it now and reminisce about my youth, how hard I worked part time after school and how ecstatic I was when I purchased myself the ring.

It makes me feel so happy and proud of myself. Every time I feel sad, I look at the ring now and just hold it close to my heart — it makes everything OK again.  One day I will pass it to my little girl and tell her the stories about how hard I worked as a teenager, and how proud of myself I was when I purchased myself this very special 14 karat gold heart shaped ring.

Of course when women fall in forever lasting love, they wear diamonds on their fingers, because diamonds reminds women how cherished and loved they are to the very special person who gave it to them. Then, one day, the diamond they once wore can be gifted to their children, their grand children, great grand children — and so on, so their legacy can live happily forever more.

When you want to make someone or yourself feel special, ask yourself what kind of present to buy a woman, or gifts that women buy themselves, be sure it includes diamonds — the stone of longevity, perseverance and forever lasting love.
