Jewelry Designer Sarah Ho Makes an Enchanting New York Debut

Bergdorf Goodman has had an action-packed fine jewelry events calendar since Labor Day. Starting Wednesday, the New York City luxury department store will welcome London-based designer Sarah Ho.

Daughter of the late-’60s model and “It girl” Suki Potier, Ho grew up in Hong Kong and Macau before settling in the U.K. Those looking to shop and/or connect with her will have the chance to do so at Bergdorf’s through Friday, Sept. 20.

Creating only a limited number of pieces per year, Ho has historically operated her business exclusively on a by-appointment and bespoke basis for international private clients, and she recently opened a showroom in London’s Mayfair district.

Her Bergdorf’s engagement will be the first time she has presented her jewels directly to customers within a retail store.

As such, she’s packed her treasure chest with mounds of feminine, one-of-a-kind masterpieces featuring stones such as vibrant tourmalines and luscious rubellites in beguiling tonal combinations. Settings are wrought with delicate lacework or gleaming enamel.

Pearls are also a Ho signature, whether it’s rare blush-pink conch pearls, antique natural pearls, or lustrous South Sea and Tahitian varieties.

The examples below are a bit of what you can expect. The brand will also be officially launching the Numerati collection, a series of rings in 18k gold and diamonds that plays to the idea of numerology and the ineffable power of  wearing talismanic jewelry.

Numerati Lucky Number rings in 18k gold and diamonds, from $5,300 each

Lacerta earrings, $19,600, and ring, $19,800, both with tourmaline, blue enamel, diamonds, and blue akoya pearls in 18k white gold

Candy ring with diamonds, white enamel, and morganite in 18k rose gold, $22,400

From left: Wisteria Long Red earrings with diamonds, rubellite, rubies, and pink opals in 18k rose gold, $17,300; and Wisteria Long Green earrings with diamonds, peridot, lime magnesite, and tsavorite in 18k white gold, $10,300

Wisteria ring with diamonds, peridot, lime magnesite, green chalcedony, and tsavorite in 18k white gold, $5,700

Wisteria Red studs with white diamonds, rubellite, rubies, and pink opals in 18k rose gold, price on request.

Small diamond cross necklaces are often the first important jewellery gifts given on special occasions. This is because crosses make a beautiful, inspiring and meaningful gift.
